This was written and recorded during the end of the world.
In bedrooms, and wasted summers falling asleep on the lawn.
After the jump to humans.
When our hands could no longer reach out to their counterparts.
During the age of anxiety, when you carried mine - for a time.
I will always love you for that.

To our shared love for a dying star.
The three of us decay through tiny defeats that individually, go unnoticed.
Rusting, inch by inch with each fleeting day.
Some of us more than others.
In the intervening days and months, my love distorts into a terrible fantasy.
But love is a part of hate, which is a side effect of knowing.
My love is unfaithful and jealous.
My love is unknowing of entropy or reciprocity.
My love reaches out blindly for a hill to die on.
My love is a terror.
